I know! Dude, I know you're trying to respect her choices but maybe you should talk it over for a few minutes before vanishing forever. When I was a kid I loved the tragical disembodied romance aspect, but now I'm a little sadder that Mrs. Muir had to lose her cool ghost friend over a silly fling with George Sanders. They had such a good time laughing at other people together! :( At the least he should have checked back in after a few months to see if George Sanders broke her heart or not.
OH WELL, relationships are hard to negotiate when you're literally a ghost.
(I love that movie a lot, though in retrospect it's stacking the deck a little unfairly against the flesh).
