It's gift subscription time again! This one is pretty different from most of my subscriptions (and from anything I talk about on here) but it's one of my favorites.

Make: is a celebration of technology as creativity. The magazine is a beautifully printed quarterly publication aimed at "makers" - mostly people who are into tinkering with robotics, computers and computer-based crafting, but also low-tech school physics projects, cosplay accessories, LED-enhanced textile arts, and the occasional foray into food preservation. Reader-submitted projects with detailed instructions are the heart of the magazine. It also features product reviews of things like 3D printers and laser cutters, and profiles of artists, inventors, maker camps, and middle-school robotics teams around the world.

I've been a reader of Make: for many years and I've never made a single project or bought any of the products reviewed (though I did once write a fan letter to the creator of the rotary-dial mobile phone kit). I love it anyway.

If you'd like a subscription to Make: (four issues) or know someone who would, send me a message sometime soon! I'll send a gift subscription to the first person who responds.

ETA: This subscription has been spoken for!
